On 26 December, a devastating fire destroyed 50 homes in the township of Imizamo Yethu, leaving families with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
Sadly, this is a recurring tragedy.
It is terrible and somewhat disheartening that a permanent solution – decent housing for all – has still not been found here.
In the meantime, all we can do is provide post-disaster aid. 😪
