We received this thank-you letter from the Hout Bay Educare Centre. This is another nursery school that we support once or twice a year.
Last year, we sponsored the Christmas party.
This year, there were more pressing matters. The electrical system at the nursery was dilapidated
and unsafe. The risk of injury or fire was high, so we decided that the money available this year would be better spent on repairing the electrical system than on Christmas presents.
Unfortunately, therefore, there are no photos of happy children’s faces at the Hout Bay Educare Centre, only the electrician’s invoice.
That’s just how it goes sometimes, and you have to weigh things up. I think we made the right decision.
